Cape Cod Jewelry

Cape Cod has and always will be my favorite place in the whole world. I love everything about it from the beaches to the restaurants to the people. For my eighth grade graduation I got a Cape Cod bracelet. I have not taken it off and it has been 4 years. 4 years later, on my 17th birthday I got another little navy blue box from Lestage and there was a Cape Cod anklet. I am so in love with it and once again I have it on and I don't plan on taking it off for a long time. They are timeless pieces that are so beautiful and classic. They truly go with everything I own and they can honestly be incorporated into anyones wardrobe.

Belts

I have an obsession with belts. As of lately they seem to be the only thing I'm wearing obsessively everyday. They can pull together a simple t shirt and white pants and make the outfit look so much cleaner and put together.
For my birthday I got a belt from Vineyard Vines with ocean life patchwork on it and I love the way it looks with white pants and a simple navy top. I also received a nautical flag belt that looks adorable with a red twill skit and button up paired with Jack Roger's.
Belts overall pull outfits together, and really can make something so simple look so much better. I absolutely love how classic and timeless they can be as well.

White Pants

White pants look so classic and timeless. They always have ever since our First Lady, Jackie Kennedy, wore them with Jack Roger’s they have been an American classic.

Paired with a navy and white boat tee and Sperry Top-Siders, you have yourself a perfectly preppy outfit.  They look very crisp and clean; they can clean up any outfit. They can also look more formal paired with a cute blouse and wedges. White pants are an American staple every woman should have in their wardrobe.

Tartan

It comes in blazers, pants, pajamas, scarves, stockings. To me, tartan is the print of holiday season. You can find it virtually being tied into everything making that item a little more festive for the holiday season.
This year especially I've seen a number of wool tartan pants that I've fallen in love with. Along with sport jackets for men in this festive print. That sport jacket paired with red or green cords would look good enough to put on a Christmas card!
Vineyard Vines came out with a strapless dress made of tartan that is so classically preppy and timeless.  I plan on wearing this dress to a ballet and banquet as well as Christmas Eve. Paired with navy tights and flats, a red sweater tied around my neck will complete this look perfectly.
Tartan is classically known as a holiday print and I know I will be seeing a ton of it this holiday season.

I was in a Very Serious Relationship...

It was about a year ago I fell in love. It was love at first sight and I knew nothing could make me as happy as he did, no one could give me more confidence than he did. Tan, comfortable and absolutely perfect in every other way, yup those Sperry's had my heart.
We went to school together, went sailing, visited the beach, we basically traveled New England together. He got along so well with my closet. We were inseparable. He fit me perfectly at first. Soon enough complications came to the relationship.
We didn't grow together. That's when our relationship started to crumble. Soon we didn't fit together anymore. I was growing and maturing a lot faster than he was. I wore him out. Sometimes we just grow out of the people we love.
Instead of moving on, I replaced him, my new love looks just the same. Although he doesn't hold all the memories of my old love, I can now make new memories with someone who is younger, and not worn out. For some reason I have a bad habit of wearing them out, sometimes too quickly. We'll see how long he lasts in my life.

Navy is my Neutral

My monogrammed necklace can be paired with virtually anything. The angle of the navy blazer looks clean with the stripes.
The gold starfish bangle and pearl bracelet with an anchor clasp complement each other nicely and carry out the nautical theme of my outfit. My blazer is lined with a thin pinstripe while my dress is larger darker stripes, I really liked the contrast between these two pieces as well.
To finish off the outfit, I wore navy Jack Rogers to keep the same color scheme. I wear Jack Rogers religiously in the summer and spring.
